Pneumatic
DRIVERS BRAKE VALVES
DRIVER'S BRAKE VALVE FV4a, Fv4ae
The main device for controlling the
automatic UIC air and EP brake, at all types
of locomotives and trains.
The driver's brake valve FV 4a provides the
following functions:
- charging of the pipe system. ;
- gradual braking and gradual releasing;
- emergency braking;
- additional charging of the brake pipe in
case of bad sealing, and automatical
pressure maintenance;
-enforced releasing by using a high
pressure surge
Drivers brake valve Fv4ae additionally to
the standard pneumatic function has electro
command for EP brake.

DRIVER'S BRAKE VALVE FA 3-e
This device is used for electro-pneumatic
command of the automatic UIC brake,
designed for:
- EMUs and DMUs
- train composition of aprox. 7 wagons
- railway vehicles
This assembly enables controlling of one
MASTER VALVE, from two commanding
places with electro switches - KEP 31.
DISTRIBUTOR VALVES
DISTRIBUTOR VALVE MH 3f HBG 310/ ...
The distributor valve MH 3f HBG 310/..., UIC
approved in 2003 is the most vital device for contol of
the freight, passenger wagons, DMUs, EMUs and
special vehicles.
Mh3f HBG 310/200
The commanding part MH3f HBG 310 assembled
with add itional relay valve in one body makes the
following variants:
- Mh3f HBG 310/100 with single staged relay valve for
all sizes of brake cylinders,
- Mh3f HBG 310/200 with two staged relay valve and
pneumatic or electric change - over device for G/P i.e.
R/RIC, used for different types of freight and
passenger wagons,
- Mh3f HBG 310/300 is the basic unit which
commands different types of relay valves for S and
SS regime, or another applications.
LOCOMOTIVE OPERATING VALVE Lst 1
Lst 1 is a device, specially designed for controlling the
locomotives brake system, aiming to satisfy the
specific needs of this type of railway vehicles, such
as:
- gradual braking and releasing
- direct braking
- anti-skidding protection
- operating in freight (G)/ passenger (P) and rapid
(R)braking regime
- operative pressure - from 0 to 10 bar.
VALVES
BRAKE ACCELERATOR VBK 100

The VBK 100 valve is an mandatory device at
the contemporary passenger trains. When
operating, it accelerates the reaction of the
distributors, all train long. This valve provides
the brake pipe to be discharged up to 2,5 bar,
it is insensitive to the high pressure surge.
The brake accelerator VBK 100 is UIC
approved in 1998.
AUTOMATIC LOAD DEPENDENT BRAKING
PASSENGER WAGONS
The assembly of a relay valve AKR and a
flexion measuring valve UV is used for
mounting into the brake system of: post
wagons, urban and suburban trains. These two
devices provide constant controlling, of the
load-depending pressure in the brake
cylinders.
Because of its pneumo-mechanical
characteristics, the flexion measuring valve UV
is convenient for installment onto various types
of bogies.
FREIGHT WAGONS

The relay valve AKR, combined with the
weighing valve MV 1, enables constant
variation of the pressure in the brake cylinders,
in dependence of the load weight of the wagon,
in accordance with the UIC regulations "SS/S"
and "SS" for freight wagons. The AKR-MV 1
system, is approved by UIC in 1982. The
weighing valve MV1 YF, is designed to be built
in the bogie Y25, and MV 1M in double axled
wagons.
UB BLOCK

UB block is a compact unit designed for brake
control on freight wagons. All control elements
of the brake system are mounted on a central
bracket type S5, i.e: distributor valve MH with
working chamber and isolating cock, one or two
relay valves AKR. By modifying the supporting
bracket, fitting of other types relay valves or el.
valves is possible.
Two basic types exist
- UBA 1 designed for freight wagons in “S” regime
- UBA 2 designed for freight wagons in “SS” regime
ADDITIONAL PNEUMATIC EQUIPMENT
COUPLING HOSES
Coupling hoses with heads for brake and
feed pipe, and connecting threads of 1"
and 5/4". Their technical characteristics
are complying to the UIC specifications.

NON-RETURN VALVES
The non return valves provides single direction of air flow.
There are various sized valves, used in the pipe installation or
at the brake panel. The operating pressure is up to 10 bar.
Their bodies are made of aluminium alloy, and the internal
parts of uncorrosive materials.
END COCKS

End cocks (left and right) with connecting threads of 1 " and
5/4" and operating pressure up to 10 bar. The handle is kept
in one of its rest positions, pressed by a special spring
mechanism. By rotating the flange, the cock enables
straight or angled air flow. Its technical characteristics are
fully complying with the UIC specifications. |

Mechanical
BC 16”
UIC BRAKE CYLINDERS
Standard brake cylinders (BC) in accordance with the UIC criteria, in thefollowing dimensions: 8", 10", 12", 14", 16" with free or fixed piston rod. Option - tropical version.

SLACK ADJUSTERS
RKPL & RSP
The slack adjuster is a device, that compensates
wearing of brake rigging, brake shoes and wheels.
By its operating, the needed clearance, with the
previously determined value, is kept constant.
There are two slack adjuster families In the
production program of MZT HEPOS:
Double-acting family:
RSP 2A and RSP 3A, with take up from 200 to
600 mm for all types of railway vehicles.
Single-acting family:
RKPL, used especially at locomotives, within 400
mm take up
RKPT, with take up 550 mm, for coaches.
BCRK 8"PB
The primary function of the tread brake units is a
wheel brake application. They could be
permanently fixed with the bogie frame (type
BCR), or freely mounted (floating attachment),
with possibility of double action upon the wheel
(type BCRT). In dependence of the needed
output force, the tread brake units could be
upgraded with cylinders of 6", 6 3/4" and 8". The
units are made along with a hand brake ( HB ).
The housing is made of nodular cast iron. The
internal surfaces are corrosion protected.
The BCR 6" PB and BCRK PB units are
upgraded with spring-applied parking brake and
with anticompound valve, that prevents
activating of the service and parking brake at the
same time.
The internal surfaces are protected with special
anti corrosive coatings.
The housing is made of aluminium alloy.
CRF
Disc brake actuators with single or double
acting slack adjuster are an essential part of
the disc brakes at coaches, locomotives,
EMUs and DMUs. This units are suitable to
be mounted onto the bogie, with one, two,
three and four discs per axle. The actuators
with hand brake mechanism (HB) have brake
levers in the font or the rear part, as well as
pneumatic or electric indicators for "applied
- released" positions.
CRF / HB
The brake actuators KCRE and KCRFE have
both functions service and spring parking braking
incorporated in one single body. Releasing of the
parking brake is pneumatical and mechanical
(manual). Resetting is automatic during
pressurising of the system.
Anti-compound and parking brake monitoring are
optional.
Interface dimensions are the same as at service
brake actuators.
Electro-pneumatic
VALVES
The electro-pneumatic valves
are specially designed in
accordance with the high
technical requirements (ERRI),
due to their usage in
the brake
systems, as well as i n other
pneumatic systems of the
railway vehicles. There are
electro-pneumatic valves
adjusted for operating voltage of
24, 48, 72 and 110 VDC and for
operating pressure 10 bar. The
bodies are
made of aluminium
alloy and the internal parts
are
covered with uncorrosive
materials.
